With Halloween fast approaching, Epic Games has decided to get its free-to-play multiplayer sandbox survival shooter Fortnite Battle Royale in the holiday spirit with a bunch of new additions to the game via its Fortnitemares 2018 event. Fortnite today received an update on Nintendo Switch, bringing increased GPU performance and a resolution boost for the popular battle royale. Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Season 4 Marvel crossover has been its most successful and popular season yet. However, the current Marvel Season is coming to an end very soon. The Fortnite Season 3 leaks don’t stop coming, which is oddly appropriate this time as the new season has seen the game’s map become mostly submerged underwater. Leakers already believe they’ve found evidence pointing to the water level receding, meaning the map will gradually go back to how it was before, and now they may have found an upcoming new area. A little over a week after release, developer Sucker Punch has introduced a new patch for its open-world samurai game Ghost of Tsushima. In addition to some general bug fixes, the 1.05 update brings some new accessibility options and a harder difficulty mode into the fray. The accessibility modes come in the form of “Lower Intensity Combat” and some text/subtitles options. Lower intensity combat should be pretty self-explanatory, but it gives players the choice to decrease enemy reaction time and lengthen the window for counters and blocking....

Now that Ghost Recon: Wildlands has been determined to have had the biggest week one launch in 2017 yet, it seems as if the developers at Ubisoft have decided to celebrate by offering fans of the open world tactical shooter a free DLC pack themed after the action-RPG Tom Clancy’s The Division. As it happens, the content package will allow players to gear up to become an Agent by letting them customize their character with a costume, patch, and weapon from the 2016 third-person shooter....

Today, Google announced that it was closing down its internal Stadia development studios, with the company now focusing on third-party partnerships for the service.
