The Kickstarter campaign for the new asymmetrical multiplayer Friday the 13th video game concludes, raising $823,000 and hitting a number of stretch goals in the process. Friday the 13th: The Game reached its funding goal a few days ago, and now its Kickstarter campaign has come to a close. The game managed to raise more than $100,000 over its funding goal, with the final amount totaling $823,704 donated by 12,218 backers, making it yet another video game Kickstarter success story....

What do Alien: Isolation and Blade Runner have in common? A franchise director, lots and lots of running around, and apparently, origami unicorns. While exploring in-game, an Alien: Isolation player on Reddit noticed that someone had slipped in a cheeky little Blade Runner reference: an origami unicorn. The item was implied to have been left by Officer Gaff for Deckard to find at the end of the film. Considering Officer Gaff’s general character and Deckard’s decision to run away with Rachael, it’s not exactly a happy find for the would-be escapees....

The free-to-play RPG Genshin Impact has been gaining a lot of attention in recent months. From incredible profits to numerous awards it’s building a mass of fans who can’t get enough of the Gatcha mechanics. That being said there are some individuals who are less than impressed with what the game has to offer. There are also some individuals who have issues with the complaints some of the fanbase have against their favorite game....

Then Genshin Impact community is a creative bunch, there’s no denying that, especially considering Mihoyo held an art contest for fans. There’s one fan-made project that really sticks out though, and that’s an incredible origami project from one player on Reddit. Redditor Mikebartgeier posted his creation just yesterday, and boy, we’re amazed. The craft is all done from a single piece of blue paper and it’s hard to imagine just how they mapped out such a big beast....

With Ghost of Tsushima’s release right around the corner, Sucker Punch has decided to offer more information about the game, this time focusing on the game’s environmental structure and open-world aspect. In a PSN Blog post, Ghost of Tsushima’s environment art lead Joanna Wang explained how the development team traveled to the actual island of Tsushima to learn more about the location and use it as inspiration for the game, so much so that they even used travel posters, paintings, films, and personal photos to record their findings....

Following a rehearsal date tweet from the Resident Evil and Evil Within creator Shinji Mikami, the well-known developer took the stage at Bethesda’s E3 press conference to officially announced his latest game: Ghostwire Tokyo. This may come as a surprise, as many were expected Mikami to announce The Evil Within 3, but this new Bethesda IP leaked a few days ago. Ghostwire Tokyo sees people mysteriously disappearing from the titular city in a spooky action-adventure game befitting Mikami and his studio, Tango Gameworks....

As expected, FIFA 18 made its gameplay debut at the Electronic Arts Press Conference in Los Angeles today, revealing a several slick cuts of new cover athlete Cristiano Ronaldo (and others) darting left and right as they navigate the ball beyond opponents. The first official gameplay trailer for FIFA 18 didn’t have any long cuts of uninterrupted gameplay, but it does build up the feeling of anticipation and drama, aided by player movement data reportedly fueled by Ronaldo himself....

Gamers who love the Final Fantasy series have probably loved Final Fantasy 7 Remake. After all, it’s about time Square Enix reimagined its turn-based hit game for the PlayStation 2. As a result, the PlayStation 4 remake brought fan-favorite characters Cloud Strike and his pals to realistic proportions, letting go of their polygonal forms and springing into life in real-time glory.
