If there was any justice in the world, we’d be able to get everyone to boycott these places and they would go out of business within days. Sadly, people continue to go to there to shop, even though they really don’t have to. There are so many options out there but people like to stay with the routine, that’s just how human beings would work it seems....

Kratos is back and seems a little less pissed off and a lot more fatherly this time around. The God Of War E3 trailer that debuted during Sony’s conference featured the extremely angry Spartan hacking enemies to shreds, trekking through the snow, and sharing some tender moments with his son. The trailer showcased the feverishly brutal combat gamers have come to expect from the God Of War series. Enemies are cleaved or ripped in half, magic is cast to suspend enemies in midair, and larger beasts require more tactically merciless methods to bring them to their knees....

Tabletop roleplaying game publisher Goodman Games recently announced the addition of the classic Dungeons & Dragons module of yore Castle Amber to its Original Adventures Reincarnated series. Castle Amber marks the fifth classic D&D module Goodman Games has brought into the 21st century and updated for Fifth Edition, which is now available on the Goodman Games webstore for $49.99. Along with the Castle Amber announcement, Goodman also announced three new third-party adventures, and an updated fourth one, each compatible with Goodman’s Dungeon Crawl Classic RPG line....

GameStop’s stock price is back on the rise. After closing out on Thursday at less than $200, GameStop closed Friday at a solid $325, a 68% gain. Thursday’s sell-off can be largely attributed to online trading platforms restricting the sale of GameStop shares so that users could only sell, not buy. With nowhere to go but down, GameStop’s stock price plummeted precipitously. At the time, Robinhood said that the GameStop stock restriction was due to the volatility of that particular stock and Robinhood’s liquidity requirements....

Goosebumps, the horror franchise based on R.L. Stines novels for kids and young adults, has a long legacy of video games. It goes all the way back to 1996, when Goosebumps: Escape from HorrorLand was released, a challenging point and click horror game that inspired several spin-off Goosebumps games over the years. Fortnite has now officially moved into Chapter 2, Season 5. Along with several new Season 5 map changes in Fortnite, players also now have a selection of Season 5 challenges to complete for XP. For the past nine days, Fortnite players have been completing the 14 Days of Fortnite challenges that offer some exclusive holiday-themed rewards. Today the challenge is to dance in front of nine holiday trees that can be found all over the battle royale map. Almost every named location on the Fortnite battle royale map has a holiday tree somewhere on it, meaning players will likely be able to attempt this challenge regardless of where they land....

For fans of the Call of Duty franchise, the words “Gun Game” should ring a bell. This game mode consists of all players dropping into the game with only a pistol, and unlocking better guns with each kill. Although nothing is confirmed, it appears Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, may be interested in adding the mode to Battle Royale. One Reddit user suggested adding the game mode to the popular game and many fans seemed to think the addition of Gun Game to Fortnite could add a new dynamic to the experience as a Limited Time Mode....

Fortnite has been teasing a new Skin for players to use while fighting, exploring, and relaxing in the popular battle royale game. Dataminers recently found the silhouette for “the original constructor” character, which the Fortnite official Twitter is now confirming to be the Constructor Penny. Some Fortnite players may recognize Penny from the game’s Save the World mode, where she is a playable Constructor character that appears as several variable sub-classes....

This week, Fortnite Battle Royale players were abuzz at the release of the release of the new Raven skin. It was easily one of the best-looking skins that Epic Games had released for the Battle Royale mode, but now it is gone. In its place, Fortnite Battle Royale has added the Dark Vanguard skin, which further plays into the space theme of Season 3 and is available for 2,000 V-Bucks. In this case, the Dark Vanguard has the familiar design of an astronaut, with some darker and more futuristic flair....

Valve has been criticized before about Steam’s PC market dominance, but it looks like that criticism has reached a boiling point, at least for one indie game developer. Wolfire Games has filed a class-action lawsuit against Valve on April 27, according to GamesIndustry.biz. The suit was filed in US US District Court for the Western District of Washington along with two individuals, William Herbert and Daniel Escobar. Wolfire has several games on Steam, including Overgrowth and Receiver 2....
