One of the last games to be released on the current generation of consoles, Ghost of Tsushima, sets to bring the player as close to feudal Japan as possible by finding inspiration in the unlikeliest of places. Ghost of Tsushima is the latest game being developed by Sucker Punch studios coming right out of the success of its inFamous series. In the game, players take control of a samurai named Jin Sakai that fights to free his homeland from the Mongols during an invasion....

Sony has gone ahead and confirmed that the majority of the 4000+ PS4 games available now will be backward compatible with the PlayStation 5. Along with this confirmation, the PS5 developer explained a new PS5 feature called “Game Boost,” which will essentially allow a select few PlayStation 4 games to take advantage of some of the PlayStation 5’s next-generation enhancements, which include 4K resolution, faster loading times, and frame rates up to 60fps....

Doomed to love everything that is the definitive “bad entry” to every series, Final Fantasy 8 is my favorite Final Fantasy. I’ve heard it all; I know you hate its broken battle system; I understand everyone despises the GF plot twist, and that you think Squall has the personality of a wet rag. I don’t deny that it’s a messy, flawed entry to a series otherwise known for its brilliance. We could spend hours nitpicking all the moments when FF8 really seems to stumble, and I’ve long pined over the idea of a remake to right some of its biggest wrongs, but I think I’m over my remake dreams in the scale of FF7R....

Fire Emblem Fates has been met with polarizing reviews since its release. The gameplay is excellent and the difficulty, especially for Conquest, offers veterans a great challenge, but there are so many drawbacks that prevent the 14th installment from being the best.
