I can count the number of times that I’ve played a Forza title on one hand. That’s not for lack of interest in the series or the racing genre in general, and I know that Forza Horizon 4 is available on PC. It’s just that I’ve typically associated the franchise with an Xbox console – something that I haven’t had since my Xbox 360 in college. That may soon be changing, though, as last month’s Xbox Extended Showcase (and Microsoft Flight Simulator, specifically) finally sold me on snagging an Xbox Series X for myself....

Details regarding Friday the 13th’s “Counselor Clothing Update” have been made available by co-developer IllFonic. The Clothing Counselor Update will allow Friday the 13th players to completely change their outfits and then customize each individual piece of that outfit. In addition, the customization system is being revamped to streamline the process and make it easier to see what looks best on a counselor. Friday the 13th players are already able to customize their camp counselors to a certain degree, and those customizations aren’t going anywhere....

Funimation’s anime streaming service allows viewers access to hundreds of different shows, often available as subtitled or dubbed. As a regular part of keeping the collection fresh, Funimation adds new titles from time to time, but the latest batch joining is a more classic collection of anime. Funimation revealed that starting on May 5th, popular older shows like Cardcaptor Sakura, Love Live!, and Toradora! will all be joining the streaming service....

Scaramouche is a character in Genshin Impact rumored to be playable at some point in the future. While this hasn’t yet been confirmed, it hasn’t stopped players from getting amped up about Scaramouche. Previously, Scaramouche first unveiled his name and status during the Genshin Impact event Unreconciled Stars where players had a shot at receiving Fischl for free by completing a number of tasks. Also known as the Balladeer, He’s one of the Fatui’s Eleven Harbingers, and sitting at rank number 6, he is higher in rank than both Tartaglia and Signora....

Genshin Impact players have recently been enjoying small quality-of-life improvements alongside the debut of Pyro mage Klee. This mischief-maker’s arrival in the game has been well-received, though players still lack substantial story content around the fiery character. However, a new in-game message from Klee herself has Genshin Impact players speculating that a new event, or simply new content, featuring the character may be coming to the game. The message not only features alleged secrets, but also includes several tokens of appreciation from the pyromaniac....

Gaming’s most famous faces tend to be animated characters, like Mario or Sonic the Hedgehog, but you could make a case that Summer Game Fest and The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley is making his way up the ranks. You could also make the case that he’s some sort of gaming robot, given how long the guy can keep hosting an event. Like, does he even sleep? So it comes as some surprise the E3 decided it didn’t want Geoff Keighley adding his own spin on the various presentations that will take place this weekend....

Fans of the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima won’t have to worry about any last-minute delays, as it has been confirmed that the game has gone gold and is ready for production. The announcement comes in the form of a tweet that was posted on the official Sucker Punch Productions Twitter account. In the Twitter post, the development studio makes the “gone gold” announcement and states that Ghost of Tsushima is a “culmination of years of hard work,” and how everyone is excited for the game to release....

Ghostrunner was initially released late last year and garnered generally favourable reviews. Now console players will have a chance to take the game out for a dry run as the Ghostrunner demo has just been released for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk world in which humanity is ravaged by violence and poverty. While it may sound an awful lot like Cyberpunk 2077, Ghostrunner has a completely different, ninja-based gameplay style, and might just be one of the most overlooked games of 2020....

Team 17’s Golf With Your Friends has arrived on the Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. The party mini-golf game banks on being a chaotic mix of silly multiplayer fun and precision golfing play. While Golf With Your Friends can certainly bring some hole-in-one laughs to a group of friends, it strikes a bogey in terms of a few key development choices and execution by its developer. The core gameplay of Golf With Your Friends is simple enough as a standard mini-golf experience....

The trailer for Gotham Knights revealed that the caped crusader is dead and will (probably) not a playable character in the game, and instead players take control of several other members of the Bat-family. While each of the four heroes might be familiar, there is a deep history to each one, and here we will explore Nightwing to better understand what the character might bring to the story. Gotham Knights is the newest game to come from WB Games Montreal and will take place in a separate continuity from the Batman Arkham series. Many are looking forward to what this new game will bring to the table, but the reveal trailer and subsequent gameplay left many fans confused on certain points. Thus, the creative director and senior producer of Gotham Knights have decided to address some of these questions....

FIFA 21 continues to dominate the UK retail charts, claiming the top spot for the week ending on April 3. Outriders had a strong showing as well – despite its Xbox Game Pass numbers not being included in these figures. The latest data – courtesy of GamesIndustry.biz – only looks at physical retail sales in the UK to determine its rankings. It’s topped by FIFA 21, followed by Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury....

Fans of Final Fantasy 7 would remember Shinra for its monopoly over the Planet. After all, this faction essentially took control over the known world. Shinra did this with its monopoly over Mako, or the processed version of the world’s life energy. Moreover, its strict rule over the lives of Midgar’s citizens usually meant no one can dare speak or act against the company. As such, it’s such a rare thing for players to witness Cloud Strife and eco-terrorists from AVALANCHE to try and destroy Shinra once and for all....

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition releases next week and news continues to come out that is making fans of the original GameCube title weary. After the blow that Crystal Chronicles Remastered would not have local multiplayer, new information has made the online-only aspect even less appealing. It has been confirmed through the official Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition website that online-multiplayer will be region locked. The disclaimer, as found by Siliconera, notes that players will only be able to play with “others in the region specific to the player’s software....

Recruiting units has been a key part of the Fire Emblem series for a long time, but Three Houses handles recruitment in a new way. Although Byleth can teach only one of three houses at a time, you can still recruit students and other units into your class by catering to their interests. Some characters will ask to join Byleth’s class if their Support Level is high enough, while others might wait until their professor can impress them with their combat skills or level....

Out of all the JRPGs I’ve played, Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the best candidate to be adapted into an anime. Aside from the obvious fact that it’s already done in an anime style (the cut scenes look exactly like an anime would), the complex plot and depth of the characters provide plenty of content from which a full-fledged anime could be built. I can probably guess what most of you are already thinking—if an anime is made, that means one path would have to be chosen as canon....

As the days continue to count down until the April PC release of The Elder Scrolls Online, more and more details are becoming available about the upcoming ZeniMax Studios MMO. Many PC gamers have already had a chance to get some hands-on time with the fantasy RPG thanks to beta access, but those without beta keys will have to settle for the gameplay footage that the development team has been releasing....

While console gamers eagerly await the officially announcements of next-gen consoles, mobile gamers have an exciting week ahead of them. Yesterday morning, during the Nokia World event in New York, the Finnish company unveiled their brand new flagship phone and successor to the current Lumia line of smartphones. Say hello to the Lumia 820 and the Lumia 920, their first Windows 8 phones. While these devices are stealing the show this week, next week on September 12th is the big Apple event where the iPhone 5 is expected to be unveiled, potentially making up for the previous two events where the next-gen (at least numerically) iPhone and iPad were not announced, in favor of upgraded models (the iPhone 4S and the unnumbered “New iPad”)....
