Genshin Impact on iOS and Android has generated $874 million in revenue since launching five months ago, according to a new report from SensorTower. However, it did manage to outsell Pokemon Go by more than $200 million, which saw revenue of $651 million. All told, Genshin Impact rakes in nearly $175 million in player spending every month – thanks to a robust battle pass and gacha offerings....

Half-Life 2 is getting ported backward into GoldSrc, Bloodborne is being demade for the original PlayStation and now, Anders Lundbjörk has recreated the opening - albeit with some creative licensing - of The Witcher 3 in a PlayStation 1 aesthetic. The quest? The Last Simp. The video opens with the original PlayStation intro - title card and all - before cutting to a log-burning fire. Then, it snaps over to Geralt of Rivia in the bathtub as seen in The Witcher 3 and in the Netflix series with Superman actor Henry Cavill himself....

Fans of the Far Cry series will soon have a chance to return to the Rook Islands in a brand new VR game, titled Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity. The game is being developed by Ubisoft in partnership with Zero Latency VR, and will be featured exclusively at Zero Latency VR locations. The Far Cry series has had its ups and downs, but fans widely consider 2012’s Far Cry 3 to be the peak of the franchise....

A director’s cut for Ghost Of Tsushima has shown up on the ESRB’s website and received an age rating for PS4 and PS5. There are a number of ways in which an unannounced game’s imminent arrival can be leaked ahead of time. One of those ways is when it receives a rating from some sort of governing body. Like movies, games are required to carry an age rating, and when that happens in the US the rating is shared by the ESRB....

Santa Monica Studio’s Art Director Raf Grassetti is a prolific artist with a penchant for recreating pop culture and video game icons in his own style, for instance drawing Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails, and Knuckles to celebrate the release of Paramount Picture’s Sonic the Hedgehog movie. On Saturday, Grassetti completed a project he began on March 17: Creating his own renditions of his favorite characters from Batman: The Animated Series....

Final Fantasy IX is a classic game in more than one sense. At its release, it represented a return to the original qualities that made the Final Fantasy series a household name, after a departure into a different art aesthetic for Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII. In the original game, Cloud had the choice of giving Aerith’s flower to either Marlene or Tifa, but the remake locks him into a cutscene where he presents the flower to Tifa....

It seems like only yesterday Nintendo released Fire Emblem: Three Houses (probably because the company released a spin-off, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, last year). However, it’s actually been four years since Three Houses debuted, so Nintendo is ready to release Fire Emblem Engage: the next entry in its long-running tactical RPG franchise. Nintendo announced Fire Emblem Engage during the September 2022 Nintendo Direct. The end of the video teased a January 20, 2023 release date, and so far Nintendo has shown no intentions of breaking that promise....

Made official last week, Bethesda announced a brand new IP that developer Arkane Studios has been working on in secret.
