As the Halloween season looms in Fortnite Battle Royale, Epic Games will not only be adding holiday-appropriate decorations all around the map, but also it will be maintaining the title with standard updates and quality of life changes. For instance, Update 6.01 recently brought a new item to the game called a Chiller Trap, while also incorporating new custom options for the free-to-play release’s Playground mode. As seen in the short clip below, Fortnite’s new Chiller Trap will reduce friction and send opponents sliding away depending on how fast they hit it....

Despite the recent controversy involving PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ developer’s criticism of Fortnite’s decision to introduce a free Battle Royale mode into the title, Epic Games’ and People Can Fly’s co-op sandbox survival release has managed to hit a mighty big milestone. As it so happens, the creators have now revealed that the game has more than 7 million active players, and as a result, the development team is set to offer celebratory bonuses to fans of the Battle Royale mode....

Earlier this year, Epic Games hosted the Summer Skirmish for its wildly successful multiplayer sandbox survival title, Fortnite Battle Royale, with the event pitting pro players against some of the best amateurs and popular streamers over the course of eight weeks for $8 million on the table. Several months ago, Gun Media and IllFonic teased the inclusion of weapon swapping in the asymmetrical multiplayer survival horror title Friday the 13th: The Game, with players eventually being able to mix and match weapons and kills between the different Jason skins. Now, however, it looks as if the feature might be something that fans will have to spend a lot of time grinding for, as the aforementioned companies plan on locking it behind a very high level....

Twitch streamer FrostedGH, considered by many to be the best Guitar Hero player in the world, just destroyed one of the most notorious songs in all of rhythm gaming, “Soulless 5”. Frosted had already full-combo’d this song before, and is one of only two people in the world who has done it. But this time, he did it even faster. The “Soulless” series is a series of five Guitar Hero tracks, made by the Guitar Hero community member ExileLord....

Although Kingdom Hearts 3 doesn’t release for nearly half a year, it is possible to pre-order the game, with gaming retailer GameStop offering players a glimpse of what will come with its pre-orders of the action role-playing game. Taking to Twitter, GameStop revealed a choice of a Toy Story, Monsters Inc., or Frozen fabric poster, with each following a similar formula but revealing different characters. While many gamers may still be disappointed about the game being delayed into next year, reveals such as this may do much to bide the time....

The GameStop stocks story fueled by r/WallStreetBets has taken an unexpected but wholesome turn. The Redditors have started using their money to adopt gorillas and other animals, resulting in large donations towards gorilla conservation. Back in January, the subreddit r/WallStreetBets saw a surge in popularity after Redditors were short squeezing the GameStop stock, resulting in major financial blows for hedge funds. The subreddit seemed to be one of the initial causes of the influx of individuals buying GameStop stock by bringing attention to the public float, and r/WallStreetBets was even shut down for a time to mediate the situation....

Epic nine-part drama series Gangs Of London blew audiences away when it landed in April becoming the biggest Sky Original drama launch on Sky Atlantic of the past five years. It was a complicated, sprawling and cinematic show that delved into the underworld of the international factions making England’s capital tick which left viewers hungry for more. Little surprise then, that the show has been renewed for a second series....

Everyone is waiting for Genshin Impact’s newest character, Zhongli. We know he’s due out on December 1 in a banner with Xinyan, Razor, and Chongyun, but Mihoyo has given us a new trailer for the latest character that everyone is thirsting over. So far, Zhongli has made for some of Genshin Impact’s more surprising turns in the story. The only downside players have grappled with is that geo, his character element, is pretty unremarkable right now....

Elden Ring’s and Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin is working on a brand new adaptation for HBO. This time, he’s not bringing one of his own books to life. Rather, this new project is based on a sci-fi novel from Roger Zelazny, a classic called Roadmarks. It’s not a completely random book picked out of a hat, nor is it something Martin read and decided he wanted to adapt - well, partly, anyway....

Total Mayhem Games recently announced that its co-op puzzle adventure series We Were Here will be launching on the PlayStation 4 on February 23. And until that date, you can get the first game in the series, We Were Here, for free from the PlayStation Store. As part of the February month of love Valentine’s celebration, Total Mayhem Games is also offering a We Were Here digital care package theme for free....

For those Ghost of Tsushima players who prefer sniping to katana-swinging, there’s no better outfit than Tadayori’s Armor. The Mongols may have conquered Tsushima, but once Jin is equipped with a trusty Yumi and this particular armor set they’ll soon be swimming home. Ghost of Tsushima lets players approach every fight differently, but choosing a play-style and perfecting it can be the key to victory. Unfortunately, acquiring such a powerful tool as the armor of legendary archer Tadayori isn’t easy, and requires players to complete a Mythic quest....

Gotham Knights is the upcoming game from WB Games Montreal which will allow players to fight crime as four different characters from the Batman universe. Set after the death of Bruce Wayne, the game exists in its own timeline despite the studio’s work on Arkham Origins. With Bruce gone, Gotham Knights has the potential to explore the interesting dynamic between Batman’s successors. Three of the four playable characters were even Robin at different points in the timeline, but although WB Games Studios could explore this strange relationship, exploring their intricacies would be best....
