Gears V took an alternate route at E3 2019 for a game releasing in a matter of months. Instead of showing an extended gameplay demo of the campaign, or even the new Escape game more, The Coalition and Microsoft opted for a CG tone-piece trailer featuring Kait, followed by a cinematic trailer for the new Escape multiplayer game mode. Fans were disappointed to not see gameplay for a game releasing on September 10th, but that doesn’t mean gameplay details weren’t revealed....

One of Microsoft’s biggest claims for the Xbox Series X (the next iteration of Xbox) is that porting over older games will be a breeze. Since everything on the Xbox One platform is built with the same architecture, developers should theoretically have a simple time updating their titles for the newest console. Developer The Coalition, responsible for the Gears of War series, has basically proven that claim. In a new report from Digital Foundry, the Microsoft owned studio was able to get Gears 5 running on the Series X at ultra-settings in just two weeks’ time....

Gears of War 4 will feature split-screen co-op for two players, with the second player choosing between Kate Diaz or Del Walker to play as throughout the campaign. An unfortunate trend in the gaming industry these last few years has been the declining support of couch multiplayer. It seems like many developers have decided to opt out of local co-op and split-screen modes, in favor of entirely online multiplayer experiences. Some that have been anticipating Gears of War 4 may have feared the same for the co-op centric franchise, but luckily, it has now been confirmed that Gears of War 4 will support split-screen co-op....

Genshin Impact’s cast has ages varying across the board and we don’t ever really get a look at what anyone looked like when they were older or younger. Timeskips are kinda neat, but since there isn’t anything canon from Mihoyo, one redditor has taken it upon themselves to create a set of models styled after the in-game versions of the Genshin Impact cast and they look amazing. An indie action role-playing title developed and published by SeithCG, Ghost of a Tale is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch. The game, which was initially funded through an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign in 2013, released on PC five years later and came to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in March 2019. Ghost of a Tale, which puts players in control of Tilo, a small heroic mouse, will arrive on the Switch on October 8 and will cost players $25....

It appears as though an “Ultimate Final Fantasy XIV Cookbook” may be looming on the horizon. Simon & Schuster, a well-known American publishing company, recently listed the cookbook on its website before promptly removing all mentions of Final Fantasy 14 after people began sharing it on Twitter. According to screencaps of the original listing, The Ultimate Final Fantasy XIV Cookbook will feature over 70 recipes reflecting the various foods found throughout the lands of Eorzea....

Fire Emblem games have a long-standing tradition of letting characters hook up with one another. Nothing encourages love quite like a battle of life and death against bandits and dragons. The Fortnite Battle Royale island has been filled with animals, and you can hunt them for certain items. It’s not necessary to hunt animals to get a Victory Royale in Fortnite. However, there are perks if you decide to do so. Boars, wolves, and chickens will drop animal bones and meat once killed. You can also kill frogs and they will drop a stink sac.
