Starting today, Stadia is going live in Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Switzerland, which brings the total number of countries where the service is available to 22. Google notes that the rollout will take around 24 hours to complete, so anyone interested in jumping in might have to wait a little depending on where they live. The company also notes that anyone in these countries with a Gmail account (and a sufficient internet signal) can sign up to receive free access to Destiny 2 and Super Bomberman R Online....

Last month, Square Enix dropped the news that Final Fantasy 14’s next expansion would come in the form of Endwalker, version 6.0. A trailer accompanied the news with a new track from composer Masayoshi Soken, and fans fell in love with the song. Now, you can listen to that track without the clashing and clanging of the game’s sound effects. In a message on Twitter, the official Square Enix account asked fans what they’re most hyped for heading into the Endwalker expansion....

Square Enix’s MMORPG Final Fantasy 14 was not well received when it launched in 2010, leading to a complete overhaul that released in 2013 called A Realm Reborn. After that the game has grown exponentially, with Final Fantasy 14 hosting over 20 million players as of July. The seventh annual “The Rising” festival meant to celebrate this re-release will take place between August 27 and September 14. All players above level 15 can take part in The Rising 2020, which is themed after a stained glass exhibition in the city of Ul’dah, according to the Final Fantasy 14 Developers’ Blog....

In the latest update for Final Fantasy 15, the developers at Square Enix included a brand new survey feature to the game that asks for fan feedback regarding forthcoming story content in future DLC for the RPG. The deadline for players to take part in the initiative and vote is June 30, 2017, so folks still have plenty of time in between now and then to make their voices heard, but it must be noted that the survey only allows one selection per player....

Square Enix shows off a new gameplay demo for Final Fantasy 15 at Microsoft’s E3 press conference, pitting Noctis and his allies against a giant Titan. Square Enix’s big reveal for Final Fantasy 15 took place on March 30 at a special event in Los Angeles, where the developer announced the game’s release date and a variety of related projects like the Kingsglaive movie. Given that big info dump, not much was expected on Final Fantasy 15 at this year’s E3, but Square Enix still found time to show off some new gameplay at Microsoft’s Xbox presentation on Monday....

Developer Square Enix shows off a few of the character customization screen options for Final Fantasy 15’s upcoming 4-player co-op multiplayer mode DLC. Fortnite Season 4 is coming to a close, and players don’t have long to grind out the final levels. Epic Games has made things a little easier by adding a new set of XP Xtravaganza Challenges. The Season 4 version of Overtime, XP Xtravaganza gives Fortnite players the chance to get big returns from relatively simple objectives. Fortnite offers players a lot of things to do, some of which it doesn’t even tell the player about. Captain Marvel might be the movie everyone’s talking about right now, but Alita: Battle Angel has been quietly entertaining the masses since its release and, as of this week had snugly perched in third place in the Worldwide box office rankings. Per Box Office Mojo, the film has made over $350 million worldwide and just over $74 million domestically. The wait for the Alita character to make it to the big screen was a long one; it took James Cameron 14 years to bring her to life after he purchased the rights in 2005 and, back then, a young designer at Activision named Casey Holtz was dreaming up a video game....

Members of the IllFonic support team confirmed that the studio will be adding proper cutscenes for its latest Friday The 13th content, which brings a purple-and-teal retro Jason to Camp Crystal Lake. The nostalgia-based free update brought the return of Retro Jason along with a few ’80s-themed camp counselor outfits, but the new skin didn’t have any cutscenes to match - meaning that even if players were using the skin, the intro and exit scenes still showed Jason in his regular duds....

Rockstar Games’ delay of Red Dead Redemption 2 could be good news for games like Destiny 2, according to video game retailer GameStop. Both games were initially scheduled to release later this year before the western title was pushed back to 2018. During a recent earnings call with investors, GameStop executives suggested that games like Red Dead Redemption 2 are expected to “suck some dollars away from the other games.” But since the highly anticipated cowboy game has been hit with a delay, the retailer says that it is “not an entire impact when it moves,” explaining that “you’ll get some of the buyers that would have bought Red Dead buying Call of Duty, or some other games [like] Destiny [2]....
