With the PlayStation 5’s launch on November 12 nearing, a series of next-gen milestones are being reached day by day and week by week. For example, last week Sony revealed the inner workings of the PS5 for the first time, and in the next week or so, Sony will likely reveal the PS5’s User Interface. Today, another such milestone was reached, though it may be one PlayStation fans are surprised to hear hadn’t been reached yet, as the first packaged PS5 retail game was shown online....

The Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson took to Twitter to correct the record regarding a controversy stemming from the decision not to include smoking or tobacco products in Gears 5. A report released this past Friday claimed that The Coalition was removing instances of smoking from Gears 5 after consulting with nonprofit tobacco control organization Truth Initiative. The truth, according to Fergusson, is that there was never smoking in Gears 5 in the first place....

Greatswords are the weapon of the Dark Knight class. Team Ninja has confirmed Nioh 2 is in its alpha testing phase, and some PS4 users are currently putting it through its paces. To accompany the announcement, the developer also released a gameplay trailer, marking the first time audiences get to see the title in action. A select number of PlayStation 4 users are currently taking part in alpha testing for Nioh 2, Team Ninja recently confirmed. Team Ninja failed to mention how exactly these users were chosen, but it does state that there are no current plans to expand the alpha at this time....
