The latest update to Fortnite has players tracking down yet another extension of the secret Coral Buddies questline. Having come a long way from the Wood Age, the quickly evolving blue amoebae are now hoping to reach the stars, and the Nuclear Age, by building a rocket ship. Whereas the last secret challenge featured the Coral Buddies entering the stone age, the first part of this secret challenge, titled “Reach for the Stars,” tasks players with collecting 100 Metal for the Coral Buddies so they can construct a rocket ship....

Following the successes of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Fortnite, other developers have attempted to jump in on the Battle Royale trend as well. While most have struggled to reach that same level of popularity, Respawn Entertainment seems to be beating the odds after stealth releasing its own take on Battle Royale genre with Apex Legends last month. The rising popularity of Apex Legends has clearly captured the attention of Epic Games, as the developer has been adding certain mechanics like a ping system to its own game....

The smashing success of Epic Game’s new cultural phenomenon, Fortnite, is no small secret, but the extent of that success never ceases to be absolutely mind-blowing. In fact, Fortnite apparently earned more than 5 billion views on YouTube in April alone. The report comes via Matchmade, a website dedicated to analyzing the statistics behind YouTube videos and growing channels, which also found that a whopping 33,000 videos had been made about Fortnite in April....

There have been small changes over the last few weeks on the map that may be hinting at something big. Epic Games smash hit shooter, Fortnite, continues to evolve week-to-week with new content for players to enjoy. Video game publisher, Gameforge, is doing its part in supporting those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Germany-based publishing company - known for titles including Kingdom Under Fire 2, Runes of Magic, Wizard 101, and many others - has partnered with FabLab Bruchsal, a local organization of “self-proclaimed tinkerers and technology advocates,” in its effort of providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to clinics and medical personnel free of charge. Gameforge donated two 3D printers to FabLab Bruchsal as part of a multi-company collective that has contributed to the cause, with other involved companies providing things like warehouse/storage space and other pieces of essential equipment....

Negan is almost upon us. Back in August, the infamous antagonist from The Walking Dead was announced as a guest character for Tekken 7. Now, Bandai Namco has released a new gameplay trailer, showing Negan in all his bat-splattering, talkative glory. Along with him, Julia Chang is also given gameplay footage. Genshin Impact has already started off the new year with some surprise updates.
