After many years of anticipation, Nintendo finally confirmed that a remaster of the beloved 1997 N64 FPS GoldenEye 007 is coming to Switch Online. While the remaster’s debut trailer doesn’t reveal a ton of new info about the project, it does confirm that the Switch remaster will include a somewhat surprising online multiplayer mode. Actually, this is where I have to share a bit of good news and bad news. While GoldenEye 007 is also coming to Xbox Game Pass via an update to the Rare Replay collection, the Xbox version of GoldenEye will not include the online multiplayer mode featured in the Switch port....

2020 is coming to an end, and that means Google is once again rolling out its Users’ Choice awards, letting us vote on which games, movies, and apps were the best of the year. Ten games have been nominated, all of which are deserving of the title. Starting today and running until November 23, you’ll be able to log in to your account and vote for your favorite game. Once the polls close, the winner will be calculated and announced on December 1....

Announced at last month’s DC FanDome, Gotham Knights looks to be the next big DC game on the horizon, featuring the Bat-Family in a world following the death of the Caped Crusader. It’ll be tackled by WB Montreal, the team behind Batman Arkham Origins, and feature online co-op with players teaming up to fight against the Court of Owls, Mr. Freeze, and other villains currently terrorizing Gotham’s streets. One thing fans don’t know much about is the game’s confirmed cosmetics, with players wondering whether they’re unlocked through loot, bought with in-game currency, or purchased through DLC....

However, technical gamers would also not miss the grace and versatility of Fran, the viera partner of Balthier throughout their journey in Ivalice. Final Fantasy 14 players are holding a memorial in-game in honor of late manga artist Kentaro Miura. Tragic news broke this week revealing iconic manga artist Kentaro Miura had passed away at the age of just 54. Most well-known for Berserk, Miura has been working on the series since the late ’80s, since which it has gone on to sell 40 million copies worldwide. While Miura didn’t work in the video game world, he had a direct link to it through his work on Berserk, as has once again been demonstrated following his death....

Of all the new stories added in Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers, Save the Queen: Blades of Gunnhildr was one of the best. Technically a sidequest, Save the Queen saw players help the Bozjan Resistance in their fight against the IVth Imperial Legion to liberate the land of Bozja. Doing so rewarded players with a multi-part story arc and a Resistance weapon, one of the new upgradeable arms added in Shadowbringers....

Final Fantasy 15 director Hajime Tabata discusses how the Regalia – the game’s airship – will function compared to the airships from previous games in the series. In older Final Fantasy games, players were able to pilot airships freely throughout the game worlds. Across the Fire Emblem series, players have been able to utilize countless characters in their respective armies. While many of the most memorable of these units may wield potent combative power, there are many units across the series that provide a player with additional utility outside of simply dealing damage. Whether these characters are healers or dancers, they provide much-needed assistance to one’s army. As much fun as it is to utilize powerful Paladins and Wyvern Riders, these units can’t be helpful if there aren’t support units to help keep them alive....

Big product drops are coming for the Pokémon trading card game, including the Ultra Premium Box Collection, a new pin set, and the Elite Trainer Box Plus. News is still being deciphered and trickling in for the Ultra Premium Collection, but so far we’ve got quite a bit to go off of. A few weeks ago, the incredibly popular Battle Royale mode in Fortnite underwent another massive map change at the start of season 3. With a good portion of the map flooded and now underwater, many of the map’s iconic locations also went under a change. Season 3 also brought with it plenty of new weapons, a new battle pass, as well as cosmetics like an Aquaman skill for players to further customize their experience....

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 is now in full swing with new challenges, skins, and locations to visit. One of the Special Quest Challenges in Season 5 is to “Visit Razor Crest,” but with no directions to find the mysterious location. However, there is a small hint in the description. Fans of the Disney+ show The Mandalorian may know exactly what to look for in the challenge, but for other players, Razor Crest is the Mandalorian gunship that Mando pilots in the series....

Twitter user, YouTuber, and Fortnite player NoahJ456 is known for pulling off impressive trick shots in Epic’s popular battle royale game, but his latest may be the most impressive yet. Building on a previous trick shot idea, NoahJ456 manages to send a shopping cart flying down a pre-constructed path, uses launch pads to land back on it in mid-air, and then proceeds to snipe his opponent from 250 meters away....

The Fortnite Season 6 start date is just days away. After a brief delay that saw the start date pushed back a little later in the week, Epic Games is now gearing up for the next series of content that will keep players of the multiplayer shooter entertained. With news recently breaking that Cyberpunk 2077 is getting delayed until December 10, many fans are getting anxious over the game’s several delays. But gamers needn’t forget that many games have suffered from multiple delays in the past and were, in fact, all the better for it. Just because a title has been delayed doesn’t necessarily say anything about the project’s quality, but simply that the title, a game like Halo Infinite for example, needs additional development time before its final release....
