Fortnite’s Aloy & Lara Limited Time Mode was expected to start earlier today, but Epic has pushed its release back to the week of April 19. The postponement follows a few rollout issues, which prevented the mode from going live on certain platforms. Rather than let some players access the mode and force others to wait, Epic decided to completely delay the event, with an official release date announcement to follow over the next few days....

Marcus Fenix should have died in Gears of War 4. Gears of War developers The Coalition is bringing an Unreal Engine 5 demo to GDC, titled Alpha Point. The showcase has been added to the official GDC schedule and will be showcased on July 20 at 1:20 pm PT. It’s listed as “Unlocking Artist Potential” on the schedule, although the contents of the demo aren’t yet known. According to the official description of the event, it will focus on, “learnings the team had while creating Nanite-resolution assets and incorporating them into a fully real-time lighting scenario with Lumen and Virtual Shadow Maps”....
The day that PS5 owners have been waiting for has finally arrived. Genshin Impact is getting its first next-gen makeover with a PS5 update “soon,” according to a recent tweet from developer Mihoyo. Sony added a few other details on what to expect from Genshin Impact on PS5. “Genshin Impact comes to PlayStation 5 with enhanced visuals, fast loading, and DualSense controller support.” Enhanced visuals likely mean 4K resolution, faster framerates, and improved lighting, which might even be ray-tracing judging by the trailer....

There had been anticipation for Ghost of Tsushima since its first gameplay trailer in 2013 at E3 showcased an expansive and beautiful world. Roughly six months after its initial release, Ghostrunner is receiving some brand-new game modes in a free update today on all platforms (PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch). Fights In Tight Spaces is one of those rare games you can just immediately recognize at first glance. It definitely occupies the roguelike deck-building genre, but it also takes cues from puzzley micro-tactics games like Into the Breach. If you’ve already gotten sucked into deck-builders like Slay the Spire and Monster Train, Fights in Tight Spaces really does scratch that same itch. I’m not as sold on the “thrilling” aspect of the game or the John Wick comparisons made in some of the marketing, but as a big fan of all the genres that Fights brings together, I’m already preparing myself to sink several hundred hours into the game....
Anyone wanting to check out Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age currently have only two options for doing so. They can play on either the PS4 or PC. That will change later this year, though, as Square Enix is currently developing ports for both the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.
