The development of Forza Motorsport 7 is leaked by wheel manufacturer Fanatec, after a post on the company’s forums from CEO Thomas Jackermeier confirmed the game. The Forza Motorsport series in general is one of the crown jewels of Microsoft. The Turn 10 Studios-developed series is seen by many as the best racing franchise on the market, with Forza Motorsport 6 sitting as potentially the best Forza game to date. The fact that Forza Motosport 7 exists, then, may not come as much of a surprise to many - but what is surprising is that confirmation of the game’s existence did not come from either Microsoft or Turn 10 Studios....

Fran’s Overwatch Community Cup was an overwhelming success for not only the tier three and tier two competitive scenes, but for the entire competitive community. Today, the video game publisher Gun Media confirmed in a statement to the fine folks at GameSpot that it plans to share news regarding Friday the 13th: The Game’s forthcoming single-player mode sometime “soon.” When the survival horror multiplayer title launched this past May, the company had originally told fans that they should expect to be offered a solo experience by way of a free update sometime this summer, so it simply wanted to remind them that the feature is still in the works....

Gamescom, one of the biggest video game trade fairs, might not be held in-person this year. The fair was originally slated to be held in Germany in late August but the COVID-19 pandemic has made planning for large events in 2020 a tricky task. The German national government recently decided that the country’s ban on large gatherings would be extended until the end of August at the earliest. It’s possible that Gamescom will not have a physical meeting this year at all, although the event’s Twitter page tweeted on April 15 that Gamescom 2020 “will definitely take place digitally....

The only way to ascend hydro characters currently in Genshin Impact is by defeating a boss known as the Oceanid. The Oceanid can be found near Stone Gate and Wu Wang Hill, where it waits to crush players’ hopes in dreams inside of a large arena. The arena is surrounded by water, and Rhodeia does everything they can to ensure that the player doesn’t get out of the fight unscathed. In fact, Mihoyo has even released an edition of the Teyvat Times that had a Traveler death count for the boss....

Soon, Shanghai-based developer MiHoYo will roll out the Version 1.1 update for Genshin Impact which will enhance the action-adventure game with new quality of life features but will also include the opportunity to earn Fischl for free through her upcoming Ureconciled Stars event. Though she’s a four-star bow-wielding character, unlike Amber, Fischl isn’t to be taken lightly. Even without maximum constellations, the Electro user is considered S-tier among many players for her high DPS abilities and is an excellent addition to the party, especially in terms of Elemental Mastery....

Genshin Impact version 1.2 is finally just around the corner, which means a whole lot of changes are inbound for Mihoyo’s popular RPG. However, before we get a chance to play as the two brand new characters - Albedo and Ganyu - Mihoyo obviously has to update the game, which is far easier said than done. As a result, Genshin Impact servers are due to go down for maintenance tomorrow evening - but don’t worry, you’ll be rewarded with 300 free Primogems to compensate for the downtime....

Genshin Impact’s next five-star character is on the way, and she’ll add to the growing roster of Cryo-based party members. Eula is the new hero headlining this week’s banner update, launching on May 18. Eula’s story quest, Aphros Delos Chapter, launches on the same day. And while there’s no official confirmation of the date and time you’ll be able to pull for her, Mihoyo generally publishes these banners at the same time....

There’s no doubt that Sony and Santa Monica Studio’s forthcoming action-adventure epic, God of War, is one of the most highly anticipated games of 2018, especially since its launch will mark roughly eight years since the previous mainline installment’s release. As Stadia continues to flail, Google seeks to slap a Band-Aid on their streaming platform. Their latest attempt is bringing on God of War producer Shannon Studstill, who has accepted a position at Stadia’s Playa Vista studio. Studstill was a long-time Sony employee, most known for her work at Sony Santa Monica Studio. Now Google hopes that Studstill can replicate that same magic on the Stadia. Up until this point, the Stadia has failed to generate any steam since its limited release....

Ferrari has announced that it will hold its own esports championship, which will feature professional and amateur sim drivers, between September and November. The top prize will be a spot on the Ferrari Driver Academy Hublot Esports Team in 2021. Although the first season of the championship will be limited to European citizens, later seasons are expected to be open to international participants. The limited entry is due to coronavirus concerns and travel restrictions....

Like chocobos, moogles, and plots that revolve around magical crystals, airships are one of the hallmarks of Final Fantasy, with most games in the series featuring them in one way or another.
