Gears Tactics is an ambitious spinoff that doesn’t necessarily innovate, but it does succeed in taking the turn-based strategy genre head-on. The game’s presentation is quality, reflecting classic, core Gears elements. Although the gameplay flattens out by forcing repetitive mission types – extensive customization, immersive storytelling, and overall polish earns Splash Damage and The Coalition a tip of the hat. Gears Written All Over It It may sound like a given, but Tactics truly impresses in its presentation as another quintessential Gears entry....
Genshin Impact bears an impressive array of unique monsters for players to challenge on their adventures. From regular grunts, to Elite or Weekly bosses, Teyvat seems to have an expansive list of creatures guarding its nooks and crannies, and some of them, like the Whopperflower, love to play hide and seek. Whopperflowers are one of the more common bosses found in Genshin Impact, and they have a habit of hiding from players....
Genshin Impact has a ton of ways to earn extra materials, including the daily commissions. Every day, players will be given four random assignments to complete that can range from destroying a camp of Hilichurls to helping a child take their medicine. The NPC commissions can be a great way to learn more lore in Teyvat. Sadly, some of the missions don’t do much to add to the world or just appear far too often....
Genshin Impact’s world is pockmarked with ruins and other remnants from a cataclysmic struggle known as the Archon War, which ended roughly 2000 years prior to the events of the game. While astute players will be able to glean certain information about the state of the world during this period, the times before are almost a complete cipher. Teyvat’s recorded history effectively began with the end of this battle of the gods, and the full story hosts some of Genshin Impact’s greatest mysteries....
Genshin Impact is now well into the depths of its second major content update, Version 1.2, which introduced players to the Dragonspine region. That said, certain remnants of Version 1.1, like the new Geo five-star character, Zhongli, remain the topic of heated debates between fans and miHoYo, the game’s developer. While fans were generally excited about Zhongli’s arrival, many ended up being disappointed by his movekit’s lack of power. More specifically, Zhongli seemed to be a relatively insignificant Genshin Impact character until players managed to fully unlock his Constellation, a process which requires additional copies of the rare character....
Genshin Impact is getting a dating simulator mechanic - well, kind of. Actually, Mihoyo hasn’t used the term “date” to describe Hangout Events, but that hasn’t stopped half the internet from going wild over the new system coming to version 1.4, Invitation of Windblume. I’m also in that camp - the going wild over the Hangout Event group - as it speaks to just about every reason I play certain games....
A new trailer for Genshin Impact shows off the various moves and abilities for Xiao. Developers MiHoYo showcase exactly how the the upcoming character will play when he arrives in Genshin Impact. Update 1.3 for the free-to-play action game is coming tomorrow, February 3, bringing additional content. The main aspect players will be enjoying is the start of Xiao’s event wish, Invitation to Mundane Life. The character has seen a lot of pre-release hype due to his story as a yaksha adeptus....

Ever since its debut earlier this year, Ghost of Tsushima has been an absolute hit for the teams over at Sucker Punch and Sony. It launched to incredible reviews, was heralded by thousands of fans, and even went on to spawn a cooperative expansion in recent months, with the addition of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends also being greeted with unanimously positive reactions. PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan recently claimed the game exceeded all expectations, and if there’s any additional proof to back that statement up, it’s the recent news that the game has passed yet another sales milestone....
Back in September, Sony officially announced the long-rumored God of War 5, stopping short of giving the game a proper title, but confirming that it will be coming to the PlayStation 5 at some point in 2021. Besides revealing God of War 5’s PS5 release window, Sony revealed virtually nothing else about the upcoming game. In fact, it’s not even clear if the new God of War game will be a PS5 exclusive....

Gearbox Software is hard at work on DLC for Borderlands 2 - which will see four “big” story add-ons and “at least” one new playable character (though gamers should definitely expect to see more) added to the current, not to mention lengthy, retail campaign. Considering many Borderlands players have already purchased the $30 campaign season pass (which includes the aforementioned story add-ons), it’s no surprise that the studio, along with publisher Take-Two Interactive, are interested in a third trip to Pandora....
