Respawn and EA have announced that next week will mark the start of a limited time event for Apex Legends, and the rewards for participation include new skins for Wraith and Bloodhound, as well as some new weapons skins. Good Old Games, better known as GOG.com, is currently offering a AAA title entirely free as part of its latest sale. GOG plans to let players download the title for free until next year. This latest giveaway caps off GOG’s 2020 winter sale, which offers discounts on thousands of different video games. The digital storefront began its sale on December 16 and plans to keep the promotion going until January 4....

The game is sure to be featured on tons of Twitch streams all day (and probably all week), and gameplay footage television spots are in place, but the company has now also released a live-action Final Fantasy 15 trailer to tug at gamer’s heart strings....

Former WWE star Shad Gaspard has passed away. His body was discovered around 1:30 AM on Venice Beach this morning, with police later identifying it as the body of Gaspard. He was last seen by a Los Angeles County lifeguard Sunday afternoon when he was swimming with his son at Venice beach. The former WWE star and his son had been caught up in a dangerous surf, with the lifeguard responding at the time....

Fortnite’s Season 5 Week 9 challenges are live, giving players a slew of new tasks to complete in exchange for battle stars. Like clockwork, the fourth week of challenges has finally unlocked for players in Fortnite Battle Royale. As expected, a few of the seven revealed challenges are fairly straightforward, including finding seven chests in Flush Factory, dealing sniper rifle damage to opponents, and building structures.
