Chun-Li and Ryu have officially arrived in Fortnite after their appearances were teased this past weekend. Epic had a big job on its hands trying to top Fortnite’s Marvel season. It has attempted to and maybe accomplished that by adding pretty much every non-Marvel character ever to the game’s roster during season five. Not literally, of course, but there’s a lot of them from an array of different franchises. The latest of which is Street Fighter as Ryu and Chun-Li have joined the game....

Last week, veteran game developer Cliff “CliffyB” Bleszinski ruffled more than a few feathers when he accused Fortnite developer Epic Games of poaching developers from the Radical Heights development team. Both Fortnite and Radical Heights are battle royale games and CliffyB said that the team has “plenty of ways” to make Radical Heights stand out in the genre “but they may never see the light of day if [Epic Games] keep doing this....

Ever since Fortnite exploded in popularity, there have been numerous calls to ban the game. Petitions to ban Fortnite have been drawn up and signed by thousands of individuals, and some politicians like Prince Harry have also called for the popular battle royale game to be banned, often citing the cases where people become addicted to it as reason to do so. While most of the world can still play Fortnite as much as they want, some countries have started taking action against the game, with it already banned in China, and more recently, banned in Iraq....

It’s been an exciting month for fans of Marvel and Fortnite, especially players who love crossover events and getting to experience two favorite franchises in one. Many fans already know that Fortnite Season 4 will be Marvel-themed, and the devs are teasing even more Marvel superheroes that will land in Fortnite in the event starting tomorrow. Pretty much every Fortnite fan knows about the legal battle Epic is facing with Apple and Google right now, but that hasn’t stopped the hype from building for Chapter 2 Season 4 in late August, specifically the 27th....

UK horror celebration FrightFest has announced that its annual five day event which takes place in August isn’t going to go ahead – instead the plan is to extend the annual Halloween event. The news comes as no surprise after many major events across the UK and US have been put on hold, due to Covid-19 and the need for social distancing. 2020 would have marked the 21st year of the annual horror event which usually takes place in London’s Leicester Square and attracts fans and talent from all over the world....

Sword characters are supposedly going to be the main focus in the upcoming region of Inazuma. The Genshin Impact roster already has some great sword fighters to choose from such as the five-stars Jean and Keqing. Support character Xingqiu is also a sword user, along with the Traveler. Swords are a great alternative to the popular strategy of using claymore users as a team’s DPS and sword users also attack much faster....

Genshin Impact players have a lot to look forward to this coming week as miHoYo releases its highly anticipated 1.1 update. This update brings with it four new characters players can attempt to snag through the game’s gacha system, with the big prizes being the new five star characters: Zhongli and Childe. Unlike the Sparkling Steps banner, however, players will have their first chance at grabbing two new four star characters, one of which being the Cryo bow wielder Diona....

Genshin Impact caught a few of us by surprise with the release of fiery funeral director Hu Tao as a playable character. She was included in some recent leaks, but it did seem as though a few characters might be ahead of her in the queue. Nevertheless, Hu Tao immediately proved a popular choice, with her reveal trailer racking up one million views in just seven hours. However, she is less popular amongst the cast themselves, who almost universally find her incredibly annoying....

The PlayStation 5 version of Genshin Impact is arriving on April 28, but Mihoyo decided to show off a bit of enhanced gameplay footage ahead of its launch. The game will run in native 4K resolution, is compatible with HDR displays, and will have reduced load times compared to the old PS4 build. Genshin Impact has always been playable on PS5 with backward compatibility, but April 28 will mark the true arrival of an actual PS5 version of the game....

Team of the week 19 is one of the best in form squads released by EA thus far. This week, eight in forms were 86 rated or above. Nearly half of the in-forms are attackers as well, and even the lower-rated cards look viable in competitive matches. While most of the in-forms in TOTW 19 were deserved, there are always a few players left out of the team. Many of the players in TOTW 19 were given their second or even third in-form....

Many suspected a new Final Fantasy title was to be unveiled by Square Enix during the PS5 reveal event. While Square Enix did show up, Luminous Studios’ Project Athia was shown off instead, a completely different project in a new universe. Project Athia and Luminous is mostly staffed by former Final Fantasy 15 developers, while Square Enix’s internal studio develops the mainline Final Fantasy games. As Final Fantasy 15’s extended universe has wrapped up its long development, many are wondering what’s in store for the sixteenth entry in the historical JRPG franchise....

GameStop is on top of the world right now, with stock prices hundreds of dollars higher than they were just a few days ago. However, there might be a new champ in town, as the practically-defunct Blockbuster has watched its stock soar 700% since Tuesday. If the GameStop rollercoaster has shown us anything, it’s that the stock market is an arbitrary, pointless, and definitely-completely-random beast. The struggling store has done little over the past week to warrant the inflated stock prices, but wild demand from Reddit – and a bit of a nudge from Elon Musk – has pushed GameStop to record evaluations....
