Godfall is available now and attempts to usher in a new style of looter game it has called a “looter-slasher.” On top of that, though, Godfall is a beautiful game with a unique design to its Valorplates. They’re based on and inspired by the signs of the Zodiac, with the Cancer seemingly being attached to the Aegishorn. Described with a “scarab’s shell,” the Aegishorn feels in uniquely with the rest of the Godfall universe, but it may look familiar to some fans....

It would be impossible discuss the greatest franchises in gaming without mentioning the JRPG behemoth that is Final Fantasy. Square Enix’s long-running franchise is easily one of the most recognizable names in the industry, and one need only look at the series’ illustrious history to understand why. From the combats that the series has experimented with to the massive stories where entire worlds (if not universes) are at stake, there’s no end to the sheer number of memorable elements in Final Fantasy....

For several fans, it’s almost hard to believe that Final Fantasy 7 Remake, a proper re-imagining of one of the most iconic video games of the franchise, is actually hitting shelves (metaphorically speaking). Love, loss and lifelong friendship is at the heart of Netflix’s latest binge worthy drama. It seems like only yesterday that the music game wars were going on, with Rock Band and Guitar Hero battling it out each year for supremacy in the genre. The boom in popularity of the games skyrocketed them to unprecedented success for music games, but ultimately, they both fizzled out. The ambiguous puzzle game Dying: 1983 will launch on PS5 this winter, announced by Wuhan-based developer Nekcom Entertainment. The “grim-themed" successor to Dying: Reborn was featured at WePlay 2020, with gameplay that’s yet to be featured online. Dying: Reborn released in 2018 for all last-gen consoles and PC, featuring a first-person escape room mechanic and a creepy fish-head character. Confined to dark environments, gameplay revolved around collecting items and piecing together various parts of a disturbing story....

During one of Fallout 4’s dialogue breaks, a player captures footage of an out-of-place Deathclaw cutting into conversation the only way it knows how. As many Fallout 4 fans are aware, Bethesda’s action-RPG is rife with weird gameplay thanks to bugs and glitches, but YouTuber Brian Healy’s most recent experience with the title might go down as one of the strangest, and thankfully, he was recording the whole thing. The situation starts off pretty innocuously, but then it turns bizarre quickly, for while he’s having a conversation with a Settler in Fallout 4, the Sole Survivor’s perspective of the non-playable character (NPC) gives him a glimpse at a blurry Deathclaw stalking in the background in the least subtle way possible....

The answer to an interesting question posed at the recent Xbox Fanfest event in Sydney, Australia suggests future Gears of War titles might not have to be shooters. All the main games in the Gears of War series have, thus far, been third-person shooters. But that doesn’t mean the series is pigeonholed. According to Xbox Box head Phil Spencer and The Coalition creative director Chuck Osieja, Gears of War could explore different gaming genres in the future....
