The Moogle Treasure Trove event is returning to Final Fantasy 14, inviting players to join in the Hunt for Irregular Tomestones of Esoterics. The event will run from March 15th, 2021, at 1:00 AM PDT until the launch of Patch 5.5, which is currently due to release on April 13th, 2020. For players unfamiliar with the event, participating in and completing certain raids, PvP duties, and dungeons will reward you with Irregular Tomestones of Esoterics....

Final Fantasy 14 has grown a lot since it bounced back from one of the most critically-panned MMO launches of all time ten years ago, and its Shadowbringers expansion has gotten pretty big in its own right. Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 14: Stormblood expansion will release next week, on Tuesday June 2oth. Unlike its fellow MMO expansion The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind, the newest addition to Final Fantasy 14 does not have discounts widely available through multiple retailers. In fact, only two retailers are offering pre-order incentives on Stormblood. The discounts are at the digital retailers GMG and DLGamer who are both offering worldwide discounts on Stormblood at 17% off and 18% off, respectively....

Square Enix has revealed new details about Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s upcoming Yuffie DLC. A Final Fantasy 7 Remake announcement livened up what was an otherwise pretty dull State of Play earlier this year. It revealed that an all-new episode featuring Yuffie will be released this summer, as well as the long-awaited PS5 upgrade of the original game. A new statement from Square Enix has revealed the official name of Yuffie’s episode will be “Episode INTERmission”....

As well as the returning squats minigame, there are several other challenges to be found in Final Fantasy VII Remake. One of these is Whack-A-Box, which players can first tackle after completing the Kids on Patrol side quest in Chapter 8. There are two different difficulty levels, with each one having a trophy and numerous prizes attached to it. Former PlayStation executive Shawn Layden says the AAA model is no longer sustainable and has urged developers to scale back. AAA games are titles developed by major developers via a large budget, with the most recent coming out in the form of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II. The first installment of the game took Naughty Dog three-and-a-half years to make, while the sequel took six. And Layden, who was in charge of PlayStation Worldwide Studios for the latter part of his 25-year stay with the company, reckons making such games is becoming way too expensive....

A post on the Fortnite Twitter account seemingly confirms previous rumors that the game’s upcoming Chapter 2, Season 4 update will feature a tie-in with Marvel Comics. As you can see, the above tweet isn’t exactly overflowing with shocking new details. However, it does seemingly confirm that the next Fortnite update will emphasize the game’s upcoming Marvel collaboration. It also verifies that the update will start on August 27. How long this update will last and what, exactly, will be included as part of this event is what remains to be seen....

Every Friday, Epic Games updates the challenges in Fortnite to include a new batch of Deadpool challenges for players to complete. This week is no different, with fans of the battle royale now able to jump in and complete two more Deadpool challenges as they continue their quest to unlock the Deadpool skin. Fortnite players have had plenty of new gameplay content to enjoy over the last few days.
